IV Nutrition and Infusion Therapy

Nutrients are found in food, processed through the digestive system and the foods are broken down into their elemental vitamins to be utilized by all of the cells of the body. If the nutrients the cells require are not obtained through food or supplementation, and the body becomes deficient in necessary nutrients body processes break down. This process leads to mitral valve prolapse, congestive heart failure, chronic health problems, disease and symptoms such as, fatigue, joint pain, autoimmune disease, tremors, atherosclerosis etc.

We offer pharmaceutical quality intravenous nutrition (IV nutrition), which is a safe, effective and potent tool in the battle against chronic disease. IV nutrition is recommended in many conditions, including infection, wound healing and nutritional deficiency reversal.

There are many reasons IV nutrition is necessary. In some conditions the volume of nutrition necessary to be effective is unable to be administered orally. Nutrients have a powerful effect if given intravenously in ways that cannot be achieved through gastrointestinal absorption. Often, the health of the patient, especially those with gut issues, prevents adequate absorption of nutrients taken orally. As Dr. Jack said, "You can't trust sick people to properly absorb nutrients".

Many conditions benefit from treatment of nutritional IVs including recovery from injuries, (athletic, post-surgery)chronic disease, antioxidant therapies, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders, anti-aging and promotion of general well being.

Many specific conditions have been treated including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infectious diseases, and many more, with chelation.

Our doctors and staff are well trained in the processes of nutritional IV administration , and assist in teaching other  doctors how to safely and effectively perform the invaluable service, as well..

Along with IV nutrition we also offer other injectable nutrient based services; i.e., B12 intramuscular injections, M.I.C weight loss injections, and trigger point therapy.  For more information on available therapies see below.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that can not be manufactured by the human body. It is water soluble, which means the body will use what it needs and get rid of the rest. It is important to supplement with vitamin C daily, because it is not possible to achieve optimal doses through diet. Vitamin C is  important for immunity, recuperation and has been shown to be a natural chelator. IV vitamin C is also utilized in the recovery from hepatitis, as well as epstein barr virus (mono-neucleosis), and many other viral or bacterial infections. Vitamin C is an anti-inflammatory agent necessary to combat any illness with an "itis" in its name.

B-Vitamins

Stress and poor diet as well as prescription drugs can deplete B vitamins. B vitamins are also water soluble and are important in the production of hormones, enzymes, Co enzyme Q10 and neurotransmitters. B vitamins are also important in phase two liver detoxification. B-12 is known for its assistance with energy production and is involved in the metabolism of every cell in the body. B-Vitamins are typically found in foods, but many people lack the ability to break them down and utilize them. Utilizing B-Vitamins in IV nutrition helps to raise energy levels and makes them immediately accessible for use by the cells, without the need of digestive synthesis. It's 100% utilizable.

Glutathione

Glutathione is the antioxidant of all antioxidants. It recycles oxidized nutrients, therefore making them available again for use by the body. It has the ability to penetrate the nervous system and the blood/brain barrier. Glutathione has also been shown to reduce symptoms of Parkinson's disease and is available through intravenous therapy and as a breathing treatment in nebulizer form. In the nebulizer form it augments the interim administration in the reversal of C.O.P.D (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Benefits of Glutathione
  • It is the major endogenous antioxidant produced by the cells, participating directly in the neutralization of free radicals and reactive oxygen compounds, as well as maintaining exogenous antioxidants such as vitamins C and E in their reduced (active) forms.
  • Regulation of the nitric oxide cycle, which is critical for life but can be problematic if unregulated.
  • Through direct conjugation, it detoxifies many xenobiotics (foreign compounds) and carcinogens, both organic and inorganic. This includes heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and arsenic.
  • It is essential for the immune system to exert its full potential, e.g., modulating antigen presentation to lymphocytes, thereby influencing cytokine production and type of response (cellular or humoral) that develops, enhancing proliferation of lymphocytes, thereby increasing magnitude of response, enhancing killing activity of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells, and regulating apoptosis, thereby maintaining control of the immune response.
  • It plays a fundamental role in numerous metabolic and biochemical reactions such as DNA synthesis and repair, protein synthesis, prostaglandin synthesis, amino acid transport, and enzyme activation. Thus, every system in the body can be affected by the state of the glutathione system, especially the immune system, the nervous system, the gastrointestinal system and the lungs.

Glutathione is made in the body and used in every cell, but it is of special importance in lung tissue and nervous system. It is helpful in COPD; emphysema, bronchitis, asthma. It can be inhaled through the use of a nebulizer in order to get a higher level directly to the lungs.

Amino Acids

Amino acids are protein building blocks and are essential to synthesize proteins necessary for life. Many of the amino acids the body needs to function properly can be made by the body if the raw materials are available, but some must be obtained externally. Many foods which are high in protein contain a complete amino acid profile whereas many vegetables and grains should be consumed with nuts or seeds in order to have a complete profile. Amino acids are necessary building blocks and are an important part of the repair and maintenance duties of the cells.

Amino acids as IV nutrition are used to build up the enzymes, muscles, cell walls, etc., recovery from eating disorders, addictions, anemia, and to boost the immune system. The amino acid EDTA is frequently used help remove plaque from the arteries. It melts away plaque build ups in the arteries and helps to increase blood flow to even the smallest arteries.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha lipoic acid is used in every cell and helps to convert glucose to energy. Alpha lipoic acid is a water and fat soluble antioxidant and can be used throughout the body, including the brain. Its important in the recovery of diabetic neuropathy, liver function and can also help with managing blood sugar levels. Its antioxidant properties are beneficial for liver dysfunction as well as treatment of hepatitis.
